Rajai Shahr Prison / Lack of attention to the physical condition of a civil activist

According to the report received, a 34-year-old civil activist identified as “Behnam Mosivand”, a resident of Tehran, is in critical condition due to lack of medical care by the authorities of Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj.

This prisoner from Nahavand city, who started his 5-year sentence on June 16 last year, now suffers from severe pain in the ankle area in addition to gastrointestinal problems.

He was arrested last year after attending the Evin Courthouse Enforcement Unit and transferred to this prison to serve his sentence. Then, after being beaten by prison forces, he and several other civil and political activists of Evin Prison in September 2020 He was deported to Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj.
It should be noted; "Behnam Mosivand" has been in a serious physical condition for more than 3 months, but the news media have refrained from publishing news about him.
