According to information received by the Hana Organization for Human Rights, Kiumars Hassanbeigi, a citizen from Karzan, in Sirvan County, illam Province, who was detained by security forces on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, has been transferred to illam Central Prison after approximately one week held at an IRGC intelligence detention facility.
Hana had previously reported that security agents detained this citizen without presenting a judicial warrant and through the use of violence, and that he sustained a fracture to his right hand as a result of being beaten during the arrest.
Newly received information indicates that Kiumars Hassanbeigi was subjected to continuous torture and beating throughout his detention at the IRGC intelligence facility as well. According to this report, the severity of the blows he sustained also resulted in a broken nose, and his physical condition is described as alarming.
Kiumars Hassanbeigi’s family, expressing concern over his state of health, has called for his immediate access to specialized medical care and for authorities to provide transparent information regarding his physical condition and the circumstances of his detention.
