He is married and the father of three children. He was initially transferred to Salaheddin Ayoubi Hospital in Baneh, but according to the most recent information received, the severity of his injuries resulted in the amputation of his leg at the ankle, and he has since been transferred to Shohada Hospital in Tabriz to continue his treatment.
Bakhtiar Amini is the brother of Zhiar Amini, a kolbar who lost his life at this same border last year as a result of direct gunfire by Islamic Republic of Iran military forces. Additionally, on Tuesday evening, August 4, 2026, Goran Khedri, a kolbar from the village of Neyzeh Rud, Baneh, who is married and the father of one child, was struck in the thigh by direct military gunfire in a separate incident at the Hengejal border, and was subsequently transferred to Salaheddin Ayoubi Hospital in Baneh for treatment.
