According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, a citizen identified as “Sabah Bivareh,” from the village of “Kalakin” in Piranshahr, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Reports indicate that security forces raided the family residence of this citizen without presenting a judicial warrant and used violence during his arrest.
As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for his detention, potential charges, the arresting agency, or his current place of holding.
The complete lack of information regarding the location of a detainee, coupled with the denial of access to family members and legal counsel, constitutes a clear violation of fundamental rights, including the right to a fair trial, the right to legal representation, and the right of the family to be informed of the detainee’s status.
Expressing deep concern over the situation of Sabah Bivareh, the Hana Human Rights Organization calls for the immediate disclosure of his whereabouts and the grounds for his arrest. Hana demands that his right to access a lawyer and communicate with his family be guaranteed, and that all legal and human rights standards be strictly observed throughout his detention and any subsequent judicial proceedings.
