According to information received by HANA Human Rights Organization, Mehran Rasouli, a young worker from Bukan, died after falling from scaffolding while working in Sardasht County.
The accident happened around 40 days ago, and he was taken to a hospital in Mahabad with severe injuries. Despite medical treatment, he succumbed to his injuries today.
Falls from height remain one of the most preventable hazards on construction sites. Under safety and technical protection regulations, it is the employer’s legal duty to provide standard scaffolding, personal protective equipment, safety training, and effective oversight of how work is carried out. An accident like this calls for a thorough review of conditions at the worksite, how well safety requirements were being followed, and the responsibility borne by those and the institutions tasked with oversight.
