According to a report received by Hana Human Rights Organization, Hadi Jamalipour, an employee of Payam Noor University, has been dismissed by order of the acting head of the university’s General Directorate of Administrative Affairs. For a year, he had been pursuing his demands over unpaid wages and had used various channels, including social media, to make his protest heard.
At the same time, the Birjand Intelligence Department has accused him of, among other charges, “propaganda against the state” and “propaganda in favour of a hostile state (Israel).”
In a post published on his Instagram account, Jamalipour rejected the accusations, describing them as a consequence of his efforts to pursue his labour-related demands, assert his rights, and seek justice.
