According to information received by HANA, in the early hours of Tuesday, June 9, 2026, a prisoner named Abbas Zarei was executed at Kermanshah Central Prison. He was from the village of Sarin in the Firozabad district of Kermanshah County, was married, and had previously been arrested in connection with a murder case and sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Additionally, in the early hours of Sunday, June 6, 2026, the death sentence of Nourmourad Fallahnejad, 48 years old, from Khorramabad and a father of three, was carried out at Khorramabad Central Prison (Parssilon). He had previously been convicted of premeditated murder and sentenced to death by retribution.
