Sunday afternoon on 31st of January 2021 a young man named Saman Rezai was injured in a village near Sarpel Zahab.
The incident happened while he was working in a farm of Mladzga village in the province of Kermanshah. The left over landmines from the war of Iran an Iraq causes a lot of damages in the Kurdish populated areas these landmines include some newly installed mines which the government used against the Kurdish opposition parties and takes many lives or leave disables on yearly basis . The Islamic Republic has signed International the Ottawa treaty which is a ban on all landmines but hasn’t Been acting accordingly.
