According to information received by the Hana Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Saturday, August 15, 2026, a citizen identified as Amir Soleimani, 44 years old, married and the father of two children, from the village of Khorkhoreh, in the Sharviran area of Mahabad, was detained by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to information received, security forces raided this citizen’s family home and detained him without presenting any judicial warrant.
Amir Soleimani belongs to a family of political activists living outside Iran and is the brother of Hesam Soleimani, a political activist residing outside the country.
It should be noted that, as of the time of this report’s publication, no information is available regarding the reasons for his detention or the charges brought against him. He has, moreover, to date been denied the right of access to legal counsel and to contact and visitation with his family.
