Momen Zandkarimi, an 18-year-old from Machke village in Dehgolan County and a resident of Golshan Crossroad in Sanandaj, was shot at close range with a pellet gun by Iranian security forces on November 2, 2022, during the nationwide protests sparked by the state killing of Zhina (Mahsa) Amini in Sanandaj. He died from severe bleeding while being transferred to Tohid Hospital.
It is worth noting that after Momen was wounded, the security forces deliberately kicked him multiple times in the head and face.
