Following the war between Iran and the United States, IRGC forces stationed at the Guard’s base in the village of Salamat, in Bukan County, have taken up positions in the village’s public facilities in two separate stages, according to information received by the Hana Organization for Human Rights.
In the first stage, IRGC forces turned the building of Salamat’s school into their base, before later relocating to the village’s health center. Reports indicate that IRGC forces are currently stationed at this village’s health center.
The deployment of military forces at the school and health center, both public service facilities for the village, has temporarily changed the use of these buildings and restricted residents’ access to educational and healthcare services.
