Statistics of Kurdish citizens detained by security forces in the past 6 months
The number of detainees in the first six months of the current year in the provinces of Kurdistan in Iran was 208 people.

Every year, a large number of our compatriots in the cities and villages of Iranian Kurdistan in all four provinces, namely Uromiah, Sanandaj, Kermanshah and Ilam, are detained by law enforcement and security forces for various reasons and excuses and outside the custom and international law for a long time. They are detained for a long time, without their cases being heard in a court of law with a lawyer.
Here, with the efforts of the colleagues of the Statistics Department of Hana Human Rights Organization, statistics on the number of detainees in the first six months of the year 2021 have been prepared. It should be noted that this statistic was the last effort of Hana colleagues in the country, but it is possible that Statistics should be more than this number.
The number and percentage of detainees based on the type of activity are as follows:
Charged with political activity 165 people 79.3%
Charged with civil and social activities 24 People. 11.5%
Environmental activity 7 people 3.4%
Workers' 5. people 2.4%
Women's rights activists 4. people 1.9%
Charged with religious activity 2. people 1%
Academic, student 1 person. .5%
Also, out of 208 people arrested in this six-month period, based on gender, 191 detainees are men and 17 detainees are women.
