According to reports received by HANA Human Rights Organization, more than five weeks have passed since the arbitrary arrest of Zahra Mohammadvali, a 27-year-old Kurdish citizen, and she remains in legal limbo in illam Prison, where repeated interrogation sessions continue to be held.
According to information received, Ms. Mohammadvali, originally from Abdanan and residing in Dehloran, was arrested without a judicial warrant by security forces on May 23, 2026. After the initial stages of interrogation were completed, she was transferred to illam Central Prison, but interrogations are still ongoing.
At the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for her arrest, the charges against her, or the status of her case.
Ms. Mohammadvali has also been denied access to a lawyer and in-person family visits since the time of her arrest, and has only been permitted limited phone contact with her family.
