Hana’s colleagues in Ilam reported that on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, following a summons to carry out the sentences of the Revolutionary Court of Isfahan,
Dr. Nasser Hemmati, from Abdanan, Ilam and residing in Isfahan, a psychiatrist, writer and translator, poet and civil activist, was arrested and transferred to Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan.
According to the writings of Nasser Hemmati on the Telegram channel, as well as what he wrote on his blog and Twitter, he was a critical man who criticized politics and society with a real identity.
However, the government and the security system considered such criticisms as a threat to national security and an insult to the officials of the Islamic Republic, and defined criminal titles for him in prison and sentenced him to 3 years in prison based on the submitted document.
In his professional medical work, Dr. Hemmati dealt with socially vulnerable groups in welfare and had valuable experiences in dealing with the social problems of women and children and the disadvantaged. He has published numerous articles and writings on suicide, addiction and psychosomatic disorders.
