Hana: On Wednesday, May 12,2021, the workers of Qorwah Municipality held a protest rally.
The rally was held to protest discrimination in the amount of wages received and the non-implementation of equal pay.
"Having 20 to 25 years of work experience, their job status is not clear," the workers said. In 2019, a directive was issued twice to change the status of workers, but due to the incompetence of recruitment staff and finances, their status was not changed. Also, the directive "Equalization of salaries and benefits of employees of certain (specific) employment contracts with contract employees" was announced this year. The contract staff of Qorweh Municipality demand the full implementation of this directive and say: their salaries should be increased as much as the contract employees of the municipality.
