Peshwa Aghapour Transferred from Orumiyeh Central Prison to Intelligence Bureau Detention Center

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, 22-year-old Peshwa Aghapour from Bukan, who was arrested in connection with the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” protests, was suddenly transferred from Orumiyeh Central Prison to the city’s Intelligence Bureau detention center after approximately two months of custody.

Peshwa Aghapour was arrested on Thursday, March 5, 2026, during a violent raid on his family home in Bukan by security forces. During the arrest, the forces reportedly assaulted the family, resulting in his father suffering broken ribs.
Based on the information received, he was moved from Orumiyeh Central Prison to the Intelligence Bureau detention center a few days ago. During his period of detention, he has been permitted only one brief telephone call to his family.

It is worth noting that Peshwa Aghapour had previously been arrested on November 5, 2022, during the nationwide protests after being summoned to the Bukan Intelligence Bureau, where he was reportedly subjected to torture.
