Hana Human Rights Organization has learned that on Thursday, November 5, 2026, Saman Dehnad, a citizen originally from Piranshahr and a resident of Mahabad, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to the information received, Dehnad was arrested during a raid by security forces on his home, without the presentation of any judicial warrant.
Saman Dehnad was previously a member of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI) and returned to Iran in 2021 after receiving an amnesty letter.
As of the time of publication, no information was available regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges brought against him. He continues to be denied access to a lawyer, telephone contact, and visits from his family.
