Hana; In recent days, three Kurdish citizens from Sanandaj, Bukan and Piranshahr have been arrested by security forces.
Madeh Fathi, a civil activist, was arrested on Thursday (August 5, 2021) After being summoned to the Sanandaj Intelligence Office.
Fathi had brief contact with his family after his arrest, and while confirming that he had been detained by security forces, he said he had gone on a hunger strike because his detention had taken place without a court order and the reason for his detention was unknown.
Also on Saturday (August 7, 2021), Another citizen identified as "Bahadin Mostafa Nejad" from Piranshahr, who is married and the father of several children, was arrested by security agencies without a court order. Also, while repeatedly following up on the said family, no information is available about his whereabouts.
On Monday (August 9, 2021), Another citizen, identified as Rashid Rahimi from Bukan, was arrested by security forces without a court order.
These citizens are said to have been arrested on charges of political activity and cooperation with Kurdish parties in Iranian Kurdistan.
