According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, a kolbar identified as Mohammad Sediq, a resident of Anjir Bos village in Salas Babajani County, was killed at the Nosud border after being shot by border guard forces.
According to the information received, border guard forces stationed in the area opened fire on a group of kolbars without issuing any prior warning. Mohammad Sediq was struck by gunfire and died as a result.
Hana states that, from a legal perspective, such direct shootings of kolbars constitute arbitrary use of lethal force and a systematic violation of the right to life.
