According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, a 38-year-old citizen identified as Sherko Tabnak, a resident of Bukan, was arrested by forces from the Intelligence Department and transferred to an unknown location.
Based on the information received, Intelligence Department forces raided this citizen’s family home without presenting any judicial warrant and resorted to violence to carry out the arrest.
Despite the passage of four days since Mr. Tabnak’s detention, there is still no information available regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges brought against him.
It is worth noting that Sherko Tabnak has been arrested several times by security agencies in the past due to his political and civil activities. He has been sentenced to imprisonment by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran at least twice and was previously released from prison after serving his sentences.
