According to information received by the Hana Organization for Human Rights, Faryad Fathi, a 20 year old citizen from the village of Golaneh, in Divandareh County, died after several years battling illness and complications that had arisen following his detention during the Jina Movement.
Faryad Fathi was detained during the protests of the Jina Movement and, according to informed sources, was beaten and tortured during his detention. Following his release, he suffered serious injuries, particularly kidney problems, and remained under medical care to continue treatment.
Over time, as his kidney complications worsened, this young citizen’s health deteriorated further, ultimately leading to his death.
Nevertheless, establishing a direct link between the injuries reported during his detention and the cause of Faryad Fathi’s death requires review of medical documentation and independent investigation. As of the time of this report’s publication, the medical details concerning the final cause of his death have not been made available to Hana.
