According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, Diako TabarKhon, a 23-year-old citizen from Mariwan who is currently held in Mariwan Prison, remains in temporary detention. Despite 20 months having passed, no verdict has been issued for him.
According to an informed source, TabarKhon’s case is under review at the Sanandaj Court of Appeals. However, judicial authorities, including the courts in Mariwan and Sanandaj, as well as Mariwan Prison officials, have not responded to his family’s inquiries. His family has repeatedly visited judicial authorities and the prison to obtain information about his condition but has received no answers.
According to this report, Diako TabarKhon began a hunger strike five days ago and was transferred to solitary confinement on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 7 a.m. This action was taken despite his deteriorating physical condition, and no measures have been taken to address his situation.
It is worth noting that Diako TabarKhon was arrested on July 23, 2023, by security forces without a judicial warrant and for unknown reasons.
