According to information received by HANA Human Rights Organization, Behnam Mozafari, a citizen from Mahabad and a professor in the Geology Department at Islamic Azad University’s Mahabad branch, was arrested by Intelligence Office forces about 10 days ago.
Since his arrest, nothing has been known about his whereabouts or condition, and his family has been left in the dark about his fate throughout this period, according to information received. Their efforts to learn anything about his situation have so far gone nowhere.
As of this report, no responsible authority has released any official information regarding the reasons for his arrest, his place of detention, or any charges he may face.
