According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Monday, October 5, 2026, a citizen identified as Ali Riahi, a native of Qareh Qeshlaq village in the Sharwiran area of Mahabad, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to the information received, Mr. Riahi’s arrest was carried out after security forces raided his home without presenting any judicial warrant.
Ali Riahi had previously been arrested by security forces on February 2, 2026. After approximately seven months in detention, he was temporarily released on bail of 150 billion rials (15 billion tomans) approximately one month ago.
