According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday evening, September 17, 2026, Ali Osloub, a 35 year old resident of Kileh Sipan village in Piranshahr County, was shot by Ministry of Intelligence forces near Jaldian village and died as a result.
The information received indicates that Ali Osloub was surrounded by Ministry of Intelligence forces while riding a motorcycle on one of the roads around Jaldian. According to Hana sources, the forces opened fire on him using weapons including a DShK machine gun and Kalashnikov rifles. He was struck by several bullets and died at the scene.
Following the shooting, security forces removed Ali Osloub’s body from the scene and have refused to hand it over to his family despite several days having passed. His family has visited the judiciary and the Piranshahr Intelligence Department to follow up on the matter. According to Hana, during these visits, the Piranshahr prosecutor confirmed Ali Osloub’s death and stated that his body remained in the custody of security authorities.
The use of lethal force by state agents is subject to strict human rights standards and may only be justified when necessary to protect life against an imminent threat of death or serious injury. In this case, no information has so far been made public indicating that Ali Osloub was armed or posed such a threat, and the authorities have provided no explanation regarding the necessity or proportionality of the shooting.
