Mizan News Agency, affiliated with the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran, reported on Saturday, September 19, 2026, that the execution of Hossein Pedaran, a prisoner sentenced in a security-related case, had been carried out.
According to the judiciary, Hossein Pedaran was tried and sentenced to death on charges of “espionage and intelligence cooperation on behalf of Israel.” The Iranian judiciary has alleged that he provided the Mossad with information about military and missile facilities in Isfahan Province, as well as employees working at those facilities.
According to the judiciary, Hossein Pedaran’s death sentence was carried out after being upheld by the Supreme Court.
