According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, the execution of Farzad Ahmadpour, a 35 year old Kurdish prisoner from Saqqez, was carried out at dawn today, Sunday, September 13, 2026, in Jiroft prison.
Farzad Ahmadpour was arrested approximately two years ago on charges related to drug offenses and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
As of the publication of this report, further details regarding the judicial proceedings of the case, the branch that issued the sentence, and the extent of the prisoner’s access to a lawyer and other fair trial guarantees have not been made available to Hana.
