Two Citizens Arrested by Security Agencies in Dehloran

HANA Human Rights Organization has learned that on Saturday, June 20, 2026, two citizens from Dehloran, Mojtaba Yavar, a former university lecturer, and Mostafa Mohammadi, a long-serving employee of the Dehloran Veterinary Office, were arrested by security agencies.

According to information received, security forces went to Mostafa Mohammadi’s home, arrested him, and transferred him to the Dehloran courthouse. Mojtaba Yavar, who had gone to one of the courthouse’s branches to follow up on this citizen’s situation, was subsequently arrested on the order of the branch chief.

According to HANA’s sources, Mostafa Mohammadi faces charges of “links with hostile states and Israel,” while the stated reason for Mojtaba Yavar’s arrest is the publication of critical content on social media. According to the same source, both men had in recent weeks posted content on social media in response to what they described as “land grabbing by municipal officials.”

According to information received, bail has been set for the release of both citizens, with the amount set at one billion and five hundred million tomans for Mojtaba Yavar and eight hundred million tomans for Mostafa Mohammadi.

It should be noted that Mostafa Mohammadi had previously been arrested during the January 2026 protests.
