According to reports received by HANA Human Rights Organization, in the early hours of Tuesday, June 16, 2026, the death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner was carried out at Hamedan Central Prison.
HANA has identified the prisoner as Alireza Malekinia, 29 years old, from the village of Bawleh in Sonqor County, Kermanshah Province. He had been arrested approximately four years ago on charges of “premeditated murder” and sentenced to death by retribution by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to reports received, Alireza Malekinia’s execution was carried out simultaneously with that of two other prisoners at Hamedan Central Prison.
At the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by Iranian domestic media or official authorities.
