Continued Arbitrary Detention and Uncertainty Regarding Shahram Pas-o-Pish’s Fate in Piranshahr

According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, three days ago, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Shahram Pas-o-Pish, a young Kurdish man from the village of “Chiyaneh” in Piranshahr, West Azerbaijan Province, was arrested during a raid on his family home by security forces. The arrest was carried out without a judicial warrant, and he was transferred to an unknown location.

Three days after his arrest, there is still no information regarding his whereabouts or condition, and his family remains unaware of his fate. Since his detention, Shahram Pas-o-Pish has been deprived of the right to contact his family, receive visits, or have access to a lawyer.

As of the time of this report, security and judicial authorities have provided no transparent explanation regarding the reasons for his arrest, his place of detention, or his legal status. Inquiries by his family and relatives have thus far been unsuccessful. The continued lack of information and the deprivation of his basic rights have intensified concerns about his well-being.

In a related development, his cousin, Ezzeddin Pas-o-Pish, was also arrested by security forces on Sunday, April 26, 2026, and transferred to a security detention center in Orumiyeh for interrogation.
