According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, Yousef Rahimi, a literary and cultural activist and head of the Hajeh Cultural and Literary Association in Baneh, was arrested by the city’s Intelligence Department forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to the information received, Yousef Rahimi was arrested by Intelligence Department forces while returning home after taking his daughter to school. A few minutes after his arrest, Intelligence Department forces raided his home and workplace without presenting a judicial warrant. They searched the premises and confiscated and took away his books, as well as some of his work-related equipment and belongings.
