Yousef Mamapour Killed by Border Guard Forces Shooting along Sardasht Border Strip

According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, early on Thursday, August 20, 2026, a group of border tradesmen carrying around 230 head of sheep was targeted by heavy weapons fire from border guard forces in the Bardesepian area of Sardasht. As a result of this shooting, Yousef Mamapour, a 30 year old tradesman from the village of Wrdeh in Sardasht county, who was married and the father of a young son, died of gunshot wounds.

Following this incident, border guard forces seized and transferred all 230 head of sheep belonging to these tradesmen.
