According to the reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization; Today, Tuesday, October 25, 2022, a month has passed since the arrest of a citizen with the identity of “Mohammedreza Afrenkan”, 16 years old, son of Akbar and from Shahryar town of Urmia, there is still no information about him.
This informed source added that in the first week of public protests against the state murdering of #Mehsa_Amini, the IRGC forces arrested this 16-year-old teenager without presenting a court order and transferred him to an unknown place.
Arresting, threatening and beating children and students is against basic human and moral principles and gross violation of human rights, and the only way to prevent the government from such actions is timely notification of the arrest or beating of children and students by their parents and teachers.
Undoubtedly, with the aim of preventing the publication of such news, the Islamic Republic puts pressure and threats on families and silences them by promising the quick release of their children. But experience has shown that one should not be intimidated by such measures and one should keep in mind that timely notification is the best way to save the lives of detainees.
