According to information received by HANA Human Rights Organization, Esmail Khateri, 40, married and the father of three, from the village of Shayni in Kamyaran County and residing in Paveh, was arrested by security forces at the Toubrehriz intersection in Kamyaran on the evening of Friday, July 24, 2026, and transferred to the city’s prison.
Plainclothes security forces raided his father’s home in the village of Shayni that same morning without presenting a judicial warrant, thoroughly searching the house and a garden property belonging to the family, before violently arresting Khateri that evening on a charge of “cooperation with Kurdish parties,” according to information received by HANA.
The following day, Saturday, July 25, 2026, Fouad Shadi, a citizen from the village of Shayni residing in Kamyaran, was also arrested by security forces and taken to Kamyaran Prison. Sources close to HANA say he worked alongside Khateri at the Shayni charity organization.
As of this report, security and judicial authorities have offered no information regarding the exact reasons for the two men’s arrest, their current condition, or the status of their cases.
