Temporary Release of Former Political Prisoner Bahman Naderi on Bail

​According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, Bahman Naderi; a former political prisoner, a Kurdish citizen from Kermanshah, married, and born on May 2, 1990 has been temporarily released on bail pending the conclusion of his trial, following 108 days of arbitrary detention.

​Based on the received reports, security forces raided the home of this Kurdish citizen in Kermanshah on January 18, 2026, arresting him without presenting a judicial warrant and transferring him to a security detention center.

​According to the available information, Mr. Naderi was interrogated for 25 days in solitary confinement at a security detention facility in Kermanshah before being transferred to Dizel Abad Prison in Kermanshah. He was ultimately released temporarily on bail on May 5, 2026, after 3 months and 18 days in detention.

​Reports indicate that throughout his entire detention, this Kurdish citizen was denied the right to access a lawyer and the right to family visits. Furthermore, during his 25 days in solitary confinement, he was also deprived of the right to make phone calls to his family and denied access to all other legal rights.
