Sanandaj industrial slaughterhouse workers strike

According to Hana’s colleagues, the workers of the Sanandaj slaughterhouse have announced a mass strike in protest of the cut in half of their years and the non-payment of their salaries and arrears.

An informed source told Hana; These workers are managed by two individuals identified as Seyed Mehdi Sheikh Ahmadi and Farzad Ahmadi,, Also, 12 strikers working in the slaughter department are forced to work on low salaries due to poor living conditions. They go to work at 3 am and have cut off half of their annual salary, housing and children rights.
These workers have been facing this problem for more than four years and are now protesting against this situation, but have been threatened to be fired by the slaughterhouse officials.
It should be noted that Iran is ranked 102nd in the world in terms of labor safety due to anti-labor laws and has become an unsafe country for workers.
