Parviz Bangini, 29, from Bukan, has been sentenced to eight months of ta’zir imprisonment by the city’s Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Mehdi Fakhri, according to information received by the Hana Organization for Human Rights.
The verdict followed judicial proceedings in his case, in which he was charged with “propaganda against the system.”
Bangini had been arrested by security forces on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, and taken to a security detention facility. After 35 days of custody and interrogation, he was temporarily released on bail of one billion tomans, pending the conclusion of his trial.
