According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, Mohammad Hamzehzadeh, son of Jafar and a resident of Mahabad, was arrested without a judicial warrant by security forces on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, and transferred to an unknown location.
Ten days after his arrest, the family of Mohammad Hamzehzadeh remains entirely unaware of his whereabouts and physical condition. Furthermore, during this period, he has been denied access to legal counsel as well as the right to communicate with or receive visits from his family.
At the time of this report, repeated inquiries by his family to obtain information have proven unsuccessful, with authorities failing to provide any clear explanation regarding the grounds for his detention, the government agency responsible for his case, or his current legal status.
