According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, Madeh Kermani, son of Saeed, originally from the village of Kheyrabad and a resident of Marivan, lost his life due to direct fire from the border forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran while working as a Kolbar on the Bashmaq border strip.
Based on information received by Hana, Madeh Kermani had headed to the Bashmaq border strip to work as a Kolbar a few days ago, but after the border forces opened fire, no trace of him was found, and his family remained unaware of his fate and whereabouts for three days.
According to reports reaching Hana, security forces contacted the family of this Kolbar today, asking them to visit the medical examiner’s office to receive his body. The Kermani family only learned of his passing following this phone call.
Madeh Kermani was married and a father of two children.
As of the preparation of this report, none of the military, security, or judicial institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran have provided any explanation regarding the exact time of his killing, the circumstances surrounding the use of firearms against him, the reason for the family’s three-day lack of information about his fate and the location of his body, or the reasons for the delay in notifying his relatives.
