According to reports received by HANA Human Rights Organization, in the early hours of Saturday, June 13, 2026, the death sentences of at least eight prisoners, previously sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran on charges of “premeditated murder,” were carried out at Qezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.
HANA Human Rights Organization has identified two of these prisoners as Amirabbas Dekavand and Seyed Akbar Banihashem, both from Varamin.
According to HANA’s sources, these two prisoners had previously been arrested in separate cases and sentenced by judicial authorities to forfeit their right to life.
Their executions were carried out simultaneously with those of six other prisoners, who had been sentenced to death on drug related charges.
It should be noted that the identities and case details of the remaining six prisoners are still under review and verification by HANA.
