HANA Human Rights Organization has learned that Soheil Ferdousi, an 18-year-old kolbar from the village of Dezavar in Nosud district, residing in Marivan County, was shot dead by border regiment forces at the Nodesheh border strip on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
According to information received, the incident took place in the early afternoon. Border regiment forces stationed in the area opened direct fire on a group of kolbars without any prior warning.
Soheil Ferdousi was struck in the abdomen and died on the spot. His body was subsequently transferred to the Paveh forensic medicine office, according to this report.
In recent weeks, at least five kolbars have been killed by direct fire from border regiment forces in the border regions of Nosud, Sarvabad, Marivan, and Qatur, a pattern that reflects the continued lethal use of firearms against kolbars in these areas.
