Detention of Jamal Rostami by Intelligence Department Forces Accompanied by Beating

According to information received by the Hana Organization for Human Rights, Jamal Rostami, 57, a resident of Kamyaran and a member of the Shayni Charitable Foundation, was detained by Intelligence Department forces in the early hours of Tuesday, August 4, 2026, and taken to an undisclosed location.

At approximately 6:00 a.m., agents entered his family home in the village of Shayni, in Kamyaran County, without presenting a judicial warrant, and beat him in front of family members. Following his arrest, Jamal Rostami was transferred to an unknown location.

On Wednesday, August 5, IRGC intelligence forces returned to his private orchard house and conducted a thorough search of the premises. According to Hana’s sources, the manner in which the agents entered and their conduct caused considerable fear among family members.

As of the time of this report’s publication, Jamal Rostami’s family has received no information regarding his place of detention, physical condition, or the charges against him. Security and judicial authorities have likewise provided no explanation regarding the reason for his arrest or its legal basis.

The detention of individuals without a judicial warrant, their transfer to an undisclosed location, and the denial of information to their families regarding their status constitute a clear case of enforced disappearance.
