According to information received by HANA Human Rights Organization, Milad Morovati, a law student at Azad University Mahabad and owner of the Hevi bookshop, was arrested by security forces at his workplace in Mahabad and taken to an undisclosed location. Agents also searched his shop at the time of the arrest, without presenting a judicial warrant.
According to sources close to HANA, agents confiscated a number of his personal belongings during the search, including his laptop. As of this report, nothing is known about his whereabouts, the reasons for his arrest, or any charges he may face, and security and judicial authorities have offered no explanation.
