According to information received by HANA Human Rights Organization, Rebwar Marabi, 27, from the village of Marab in Kamyaran County, one of those arrested during the January 2026 protests in Tehran, has been summoned for enforcement of his sentence and transferred to Greater Tehran Prison (Fashafouyeh) to begin serving his prison term.
He was sentenced in February 2026 by Branch 28 of the Tehran Islamic Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Mohammad Reza Amouzadeh, to 10 years in ta’zir imprisonment on a charge of “assembly and collusion with intent to commit crimes against national security,” a sentence later reduced on appeal to six years in ta’zir imprisonment and four years suspended, according to information received by HANA.
Rebwar Marabi was arrested by security forces in Tehran on January 11, 2026, without a judicial warrant, and was temporarily released on bail after more than a month in detention. He was denied access to a lawyer and contact or visits with his family throughout his detention.
