According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, today, Saturday, June 6, 2026, Mohammad Rezaei, a civil activist from Dehgolan and a member of the “Nozhin” Socio-Cultural Association, was transferred to prison to serve his sentence after reporting to the judicial authorities.
An informed source told Hana: “Mohammad Rezaei went to the court today to follow up on his case. At the conclusion of the session, he was formally served with his conviction notice and immediately transferred to prison to begin serving his term.”
According to received information, the civil activist consistently maintained his innocence throughout all stages of the judicial proceedings, rejecting all the allegations against him as completely baseless.
Mohammad Rezaei is a prominent civil activist from Dehgolan county and a member of the “Nozhin” Socio-Cultural Association. Over the past few years, he has been arrested multiple times by security forces and has repeatedly faced judicial prosecution and prison sentences in connection with his peaceful civil activism.
Expressing deep concern over the ongoing security and judicial pressures against civil society actors, the Hana Human Rights Organization emphasizes the vital necessity of upholding fair trial principles, guaranteeing the right to legal counsel, and fully respecting the legal rights of detainees. Hana further calls for absolute transparency in judicial proceedings involving civil activists and an immediate end to security-driven crackdowns on peaceful civic activities.
