According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, at dawn on Monday, June 1, 2026, the death sentence of Morteza Sadeghzadeh, a 25-year-old prisoner from Saqqez, was carried out in Damghan Central Prison.
Based on the received reports, Morteza Sadeghzadeh had been arrested by security forces in 2023 on drug-related charges and was subsequently sentenced to death by the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Damghan.
