According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, Ahmad Mam-Sharifi, a Kurdish citizen from Piranshahr, has been temporarily released from Orumiyeh Central Prison after approximately 11 months of detention, following the posting of a 3 billion toman bail.
Reports indicate that Ahmad Mam-Sharifi, son of Omar, a resident of Piranshahr and originally from the village of “Silveh,” was arrested by security forces on June 20, 2025. He was recently released from Orumiiyeh Central Prison pending the conclusion of his judicial proceedings.
At the time of his arrest, security forces reportedly raided his family home and took him into custody without presenting a judicial warrant, subsequently transferring him to a security detention center.
For a significant period, his whereabouts and condition remained unknown, as inquiries by his family went unanswered.
Throughout his interrogation and detention, Mr. Mam-Sharifi was deprived of the right to access a lawyer and family visits. He was moved to the general ward of Orumiyeh Central Prison only after the interrogation phase was completed.
