Narges Mohammadi Transferred to Tehran’s Pars Hospital for Continued Medical Treatment

Following the suspension of her sentence, incarcerated human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi has been transferred by ambulance from Zanjan to Pars Hospital in Tehran, according to her attorney, Mostafa Nili.

The medical transfer was authorized after Iran’s Forensic Medicine Organization confirmed the absolute necessity of her receiving ongoing care outside of prison walls, under the supervision of her trusted physicians.

Taghi Rahmani, political activist and Mohammadi’s husband, has also confirmed her admission to the medical facility in the capital.
Mohammadi, who had been serving her sentence in Zanjan Prison, was initially rushed to a local hospital on May 1 following a severe decline in her health.

Since then, her family and the Narges Foundation have been urgently advocating for her relocation to Tehran to ensure access to specialized and independent medical care.
The Hana Human Rights Organization expresses deep concern over Mohammadi’s health condition.

Hana reiterates that access to adequate, prompt, and independent medical treatment is a fundamental human right for all prisoners and must never be weaponized as a tool for pressure, subjected to arbitrary delays, or dictated by security agendas.
