According to information received by the Hana Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Tuesday, August 11, 2026, Aso Abdollahi, a citizen from the village of Shamouleh, in Sardasht County, was detained by forces of that county’s Intelligence Department and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to information received, this citizen’s detention was carried out on the alleged grounds of “association with Kurdish parties opposed to the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
As of the time of this report’s compilation, no information is available regarding whether a judicial warrant was presented at the time of arrest, the judicial authority that issued any detention order, his place of detention, or the possibility of his access to legal counsel and family. It is likewise unclear whether the above charge has been formally communicated to Mr. Abdollahi or has merely been cited by the security agency as the reason for his detention.
