Based on reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization; on Thursday, 8 January 2026, a Kurdish citizen identified as Nour-e din Tork-Koushki, from Kuhdasht, was killed during public protests in Tehran as a result of direct gunfire with live ammunition by the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Hana’s sources, approximately one month later, on 7 February 2026, his body was discovered in the Kahrizak area.
Based on further information received, the body of Nour-e din Tork-Koushki was ultimately laid to rest on 9 February 2026, in the presence of his family and a number of citizens.
The grim arithmetic of repression rarely leaves room for ambiguity: bullets plus protests tend to equal funerals, and time itself becomes evidence.
